Yorgo Alexopoulos is an emerging multimedia artist based in New York City. Borrowing from archaeology, theoretical astrophysics, and popular culture, his work is inspired by the history of mankind's scrutiny of outer space, from ancient civilizations to our present day understanding of cosmology. While working in the traditional mediums of painting and drawing, he also creates visually compelling video installations using special effects, computer animation, and digital media that demonstrate new approaches in art making.
