John Keenen is a partner in the NYC architecture/design studio, Keenen/Riley (K/R). In addition to designing and building, he has taught design studios at Harvard GSD, University of Texas/Austin and Parsons School of Design. He was co-curator of the architecture section of the Tony Smith Retrospective at MoMA in 1998. He is curator and exhibition designer for the upcoming show on the Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm, to be held at the Sean Kelly Gallery in January 2005. He has been a fellow at the Macdowell Colony and artist-in-residence at the Wexner Center for Art and Technology. Born and raised in New Jersey, he has lived with numerous cats over the years, including Binker, Maxwell, Lady Bird, Beauty, Dog Face, Serge and currently the ferocious Mister-Mister.
